Divine Hearts, Social Outreach Arm

Started in November 2006, Divine Hearts is a new chapter of Thekchen Choling (Singapore) commissioned by our Lama. Divine Hearts shares Thekchen Choling’s vision of “Connecting All with Divine Hearts” and we aim to spread love and compassion to all regardless of race, language or religion through tangible means. Starting with Singapore, we intend to extend our assistance to other countries as well.

We are currently running a few projects to reach out to 3 main groups of people namely:
- Children
- Youth
- Elderly

CHILDREN

Besides the emphasis on giving our children a good academic background, we at Divine Hearts also believe in teaching them the importance of social values and responsibilities. Activities are organised to help in their character building and overall well-being during these important nurturing years.

YOUTH

A susceptible age group to work with, Divine Hearts believe that it is important to instill in our youths, an aspiration for humanity and peace, and nurture them to become loving and caring individuals. Opportunities are given to youths to organise activities to reach out to people in need and also to the younger children. It is hope that through these activities they will be able to pick up leadership qualities, build up the awareness to care for the people around them and at the same time build up their sense of confidence through the ownership of organising the activities.

ELDERLY

The prosperity and peace that we enjoy now are due to the fruits of toil and labour of our parents and the senior citizens who have contributed to the society. Not forgetting their kindness, we at Divine Hearts hope to organise activities to reach out to these special group of people whom we tend to forget. Healing sessions like free TCM clinics and Reiki sessions are organised to help them upkeep their health and overall well-being.
