Text of Buddha's 84 000 Teachings

His Eminence Dagri Dorje Chang has advised that Thekchen Choling (Singapore) should have the entire 84,000 teachings of the Buddha housed within the temple.

The full set of these sacred teachings - the Kangyur and Tengyur - are found in more than 300 volumes of text which will need to be inported from overseas.

It is said that the blessings accrued will benefit countless sentient beings, for these sacred texts are like indispensable lamps on a dark road, without their luminous presence, gods and men would be plunged into perpetual darkness. Prostrating to the Kangyur and Tengyur texts with pure intention and devotion will also free one from the sufferings due to negative karma created by one's delusion.
