 About Our Astrologers Venerable Konchok is one of the lineage-holders of Tibetan astrology that originated from Lord Manjushri. For ten years, since the age of 13 thirteen, he learnt and practiced this ancient art and science from Geshe Jayang Gyatso, a great astrologist in Tibet and China. He then went on to spent sixteen years completing his geshe degree in Sera Je Monastery and four years in Gyurme Tantric University. He is awaiting for his final geshe debate grading examination. Venerable Konchok is now a full-fledged all rounder as an astrologist and a tantric puja and ritual ceremony performer empowered with Geshe training - very rare combination of practical skills and knowledge. 衮却喇嘛是其中一位藏传占星术的传承继承人，此占星术源自文殊师利菩萨。自13 岁起，他便向在西藏与中国著名的伟大占卜师迦杨亚措格西学了10年的方术与科学。随后喇嘛衮却在色拉寺就读了16 年的格西学位。除此之外，他也在下密院就读了4 年。目前，他正在准备考取格西辩经学位的毕业试。喇嘛衮却是一位具有全面资格的占卜师，同时是持有格西学位的密乘法会修行者。这是非常稀有的。 Mr. Tenzin Jinpa is a Professional Astrologer from Tibetan Medical & Astro Institute (Men Tsee Khang) of H.H. the Dalai Lama. He was a former monk at Sera monastery where he completed his modern studies along with traditional Tibetan knowledge for more than 14 years. He was then selected for the 6 years intensive course in Tibetan Astrology and Astronomy at Men Tse Khang. He has master himself in all the three major field of Tibetan Astro Science viz Elemental astrology of Manjushree linage, Kalachakra system of Sakyamuni and Arising vowel of Lord Shiva. He is one of the resource person at Men Tse Khang where he has been doing birth chart for client, taking course, and making almanac & lunar calendar. Almanac for year 2011 is constructed by Mr. Jinpa as a thesis after completion of his 6 years studies in Astro. science. The dharma teachings of Buddha are the root. My point here is that until such time as we can develop full awareness, astrology can be useful to us on a relative basis in guiding us through life’s obstacles. In other words, in the confused world we often find ourselves in, bewildered by our own ignorance of what is real, and stumbling around, astrology and the other divinatory practices can help to point the way through the confusion to greater clarity. Beyond that, as I understand it, astrology has no particular merit. Astrology is one of the relative truths, but not the absolute truth.
