PROJECT MAUDE

Free Rations Distribution to the Elderly and the needy families.

Given the rising food prices recently, Thekchen Choling hopes to lend a helping hand to the needy by distributing food rations to them. This project is started in September 2007, to help the elderly and the needy residents staying in one-room flat at Maude Road. From the initial number of 500 packs of rations, we have increased the number of ration packs to 1000 since 2010. With this, we have benefited more than 1000 residents in Jalan Besar area.

Project Maude is held 3 times a year during

• Chinese New Year
• Vesak Day and
• Mid-autumn Festival.
